I ran away from home 3 weeks ago, should I say where I am?
Hi, I'm 16 years old; 17 in march. I recently left home without telling my parents due to suffering a lot of domestic violence because of my dad's drink problem. I met a boy when I was living back with my parents in Ohio who is Brazilian, I told him everything what was happening to me and currently I'm staying with him in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He paid for my flight out here. We have been dating since back in Ohio, but we are NOT sexually active, he is a strong Catholic. I've really enjoyed being away from all the crap I was under back in America, I can relax for the first time in many years.
I deleted my Facebook before I left but I went on to a friends facebook page the other day just to see it and I could see my mom has a facebok page opened to find me which my friend has joined. I thought I'd be able to cope being away for a few years until I was 18 and not legally required to go home, but I've been crying a lot since seeing this; all the people wanting to know where I am has really affected me. I don't want to go home to my dad, I want to stay in Brazil or at least stay away from living at home; if I tell people where I am, will I be required to return to the USA? I don't know what I should do right now, I feel bad for doing this but on the other hand I don't want to live with my dad again. Has anyone else been like this? thanks.

Wow, you sound really frown up for your age. I don't blame you at all for wanting to be away from your dad if he has a drinking problem. You deserve some peace, and if you found it in Rio then great. I must say I am amazed that you were able to get out of the country at 16, thats quite remarkable.
Chances are, that after you have posted this question, you can be found. Heck, I could find you in like 5 minutes now. However, its unlikely your mom is as computer savvy. That said though, your mom is probably going through hell wondering whats happened to you. Is there some way you could send her a message telling her everything, honestly and openly? Send her an email, talking about how your dad's drinking has affected you, and how you needed to get away from it. Tell her that you love her and want to stay in contact, but that you cant come home to deal with your dad unless he gets help. Make sure you take care iof yourself in this first and foremost, but do remember your mom is probably beside her herself with worry and grief.

Hopefully anyone stuck her and is maintaining her within. She could come dwelling, however possibilities are she both used to be picked up through anyone and dropped off at a safe haven in which she both determined a dwelling or used to be positioned down. It might were a safe haven a ways clear of in which she used to be picked up. You on the whole would possibly not ever discover out for definite however simply desire for the first-class. Sorry to sound so poor, however actually you could in no way understand what occurred to the cat.

Tell her you're OK, at least do that!!! They don't know if you ran away, if you were kidnapped and killed by a serial killer, or what!!! It's horrible to just leave everyone hanging.
And no, they can't bring you back. All you have to say is you're fine.
