Do I need to file if I made under 1500.?
I am 20 lived with boyfriend all year he supports me and is claiming me on his taxes. I just started work the end of 2011 and only made around 1500. Do I still need to file my tax return?
Rhero you are wrong about boyfriend being able to claim on taxes. That part I do know is correct from IRS as it was taken last year and from advice from their hotline.

Actually, he can't claim you on his return unless you two are married. At $1,500.00, you would be under the filing requirement. If you had any withholding while making that $1,500, you'd have to file to get it back. However, if you file, there will be a problem in your case because IRS would see that you were claimed by your boyfriend on HIS return. Seems that you two have created a potential problem for yourselves. Check with a good tax return preparer to see what they say about your situation

Assuming your income is from wages from a job and this is your only income for the year, you are not required to file a federal tax return. However, if you had any federal income tax withheld you may want to file a return to have that withholding refunded to you.
