No sound with Windows 8, can someone help?

I've recently installed Windows 8 Developer preview onto a spare desktop I had lying around. The problem is, I have no sound on it. I've tried installing the drivers for it several times, putting in a new sound card and installing the drivers for that card, and changing the speakers. When I try to run Windows Audio in Services.msc, I get the error message: "Error 1297: A privilege that the service requires to function properly does not exist in the service account configuration. You may use the Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in (services.msc) and the Local Security Settings MMC snap-in (secpol.msc) to view the service configuration and the account configuration." I know that this OS is in the Development stage still, and that it may have a few glitches or "rough spots". But from what I've seen, nobody else has ran into this problem. If I don't get this resolved, I think I have no other choice but to reinstall Windows 8, Windows, 7 or Windows Vista, though I would rather avoid doing that. If any tech whiz can help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :3

Its still under development, report it. You'll get no support, its not publically released. Get windows 7.

I had the same problem. I downloaded the driver from the Windows Update and it worked perfectly. Hope this would work for you as well!.

check what motherboard it got, go to the manufacturers webpage, download the audio drivers

if its a old one (as you said a spare computer) it will most likely not work as well its too old and the drivers arnt made for it
