What Are Some Great Books You Read That Aren't Well Known?

I was just thinking of a few books I read that most people won't know.

My favorite romance books (actually the only romance books I ever enjoyed) were a series by Rebecca Flanders called The Secret of the Wolf series. It's a very original take on werewolves.

The series order went thus:

"Heart of the Wolf"

"Wolf In Waiting" (my favorite)

"Shadow of the Wolf"

Besides that, there was a fantasy series me and my friends read in middle school. The Aurian series by Maggie Furey about a girl who's a mage.

The series goes like this:

Aurian

The Harp of Winds

The Sword of Flame

Dhiammara

So, what are some great books that you read that aren't very well known?

Let Me In/Let the Right One In, by John Ajvide Lindqvist (I think you might enjoy this one! It's a romance, yes, but it's not REALLY a romance, and although a vampire book, its....i don't know how to explain it. Its amazing, its dark, it feels real, its...just so amazing! haha! I thought it was more well known, but i haven't talked to anyone other than people on the internet who have heard of it)

Crazy, by William Peter Blatty (again, this one seems like it should be more well known, since its by the author of The Exorcist. But Blatty seems forgotten, for the most part. This is a truly touching, innocent young love story with supernatural elements, and such a heart-wrenching account on life and death that i still think about it very often)

I Am Legend, by Richard Matheson (the movie should have made this one famous, but so few people have heard of the book. And, I must say it: the book was better! In SO many ways!)

These are just a few, probably the least known that I've read that I can think of! Haha!

A Fan's Notes by Frederick Exley. Won Faulkner Award for best 1st novel in late 60's, but not too well known today.

The Secrets of Immortal Nicholas Flamel series by Micheal Scott. I suppose they are moderately known and not as much as it deserves.
