How can I shrink a shirt without using the dryer?
Hi, i'm trying to shrink a shirt that I recent got. It's 100% cotton and it's too big for me.
I've already tried putting it in boiling hot water and letting it air dry, but that didn't work. And I don't have a high heat setting on my dryer so I cant use that method.
And I have to pay to use the washing machines here so I cant just keep drying it.
I was wondering if I could just soak the shirt in hot water then dry it with a hair dryer on high heat?
Would it have the same effect as a dryer?
Help please! :(

This question is asked over and over. You need to have a too large garment altered. It will not shrink to fit properly or proportionately. Although cotton does shrink, many modern garments are made from cotton that had been preshrunk.
