Devotional Service(Bhakti) is more hard than Meditation(Gyan Marg)?

Devotion is the simplest way to meditate. In fact true devotion is meditation. They are not different from each other.

Meditation is not Gyan marg. Meditation is Marg-less. Both Gyanmarg (path of knowledge) and Bhaktimarg (path of devotion) meet at the point of meditation and thereafter samadhi. For samadhi, the practitioner drops his / her 'devotion' or 'knowledge' in order to attain Brahmagyan. It is the highest knowledge and that knowledge is understood within.

In pure devotion, there is no service, no religion and worship. It is complete surrender ~ Saranagati, the only state of the devotee. It is not 'love felt by the worshiper towards the personal God'. Love changes to compassion at a higher stage of devotion. Compassion is felt by everyone around you, including animals, birds and nature. The aura of compassion is the most attractive thing in the universe.

Nothing is easy as such. Efforts are required from the practitioner's side. But the efforts should not invite an egoist feeling or some kind of complexity...that 'My path is difficult and therefore higher than the other'. Such a thought itself is a downfall and it is very difficult to overcome that fall.

On the contrary I've heard Bhakti is the easiest, simplest and very reassuring for the ones who need a lot of assurance.

Is meditation gyan yog or raja yog?

True devotee understands the real meaning of God consciousness.

I'm sorry this is not an answer. but what exactly do you mean by devotional service (Bhakti)?

Both need a lot of patience.

Because as & when godly conciousness reaches you, you tend to become suicidal.
