    It sounds like it should be, BUT, you could have Royalty(Princes,Etc.) revolting against

    the king in which it would not be a contradicting statement like " Honest Lawyers". :0)

    It would depend on context, so I say no.

    Good question!! Royalty usually refers to the people who run or control the government: they are the ones who have the wealth and the power. When a revolution happens, the people who have the power are thrown out and replaced by others, who WANT the power (and often the wealth...). The people in power at any given time (ie, the "royalty" of a given country or place), can't revolt against themselves... that would be silly!! So, the term "royal revolution" is therefore a self-contradictory concept - ie, an oxymoron.
