How do I find out who wrote a paragraph so I can cite them in my work?

There was a paragraph on a wikipedia page that I want to cite. Only problem is that my university does not allow wikipedia as a source. Is there anyway to find out who wrote that paragraph. Meaning, is there a website that I can use to type in the paragraph and it will tell me who wrote it? Thanks.

Sadly Wikipedia is open source which means multitude of people can help write it. At the end of every wiki-page there is a work cited links which can take you to where the information was gotten. I recommend you paraphrase the paragraph in your essay and cite a link from the bottom. Hope this is helpful :)
