If Donald Trump dies prior to taking the Presidential Oath, who becomes president?
I've tried looking up the answer, and the best answer that I could find is that pretty much each state's electoral college would choose a new person. Unless each, or the majority, chooses the same person such as Trump's running mate, it seems pointless
4 AnswersElections4 years agoCan someone please explain collegiate football spring games?
Everybody seems to make a big deal of the first "game" of collegiate Div. 1-A football programs. And I realize that these teams are playing against themselves. But how do they "work"? I realize that it is probably the teams' starting offense against the teams' starting defense. But when the offense is playing defense, it's obviously, I think, not the offensive line playing defense. Just like when the defensive line gets the ball, it's probably not the defense playing offense. So who plays the opposite side of the ball? Thanks for the clarification.
2 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoHow do I know if I need to pay a tax on a "gift"?
Back in October of 2013, I needed to visit the ER due to what was diagnosed as a pulled muscle in my chest. At the time, I did not have insurance because I was still in my probation period with my company, and it happened outside of work so it was not covered by worker's comp. I received a bill from radiology and paid it; and I am currently making payments to the doctor. But my actual hospital bill, which came to $3353 was wiped clean due to myself not having insurance and not that much money. Since the hospital I went to is considered "for-profit", it says so on their website, will I have to pay a tax on their "gift" to me off me not having to pay the bill.
7 AnswersUnited States7 years agoHow do I know if a need a Visa, or just a passport?
My friend and I are planning a trip to the Dominican Republic. Him and I both live in the US; him in Puerto Rico and me stateside in Florida. Also, if and when a traveler needs also needs a Visa, how does he or she get one and when they need one? Thank you all.
3 AnswersImmigration7 years agoHow can I tell what the star, or planet, is in the nighttime sky?
I am looking for a website that tells me what it is in the nighttime sky? Depending on how many clouds, and time of night, I either see a couple, or quite a few "stars". I put "stars" in quotes because I realize that it might not be a star. If there is a website that allows you to put in your address, and then it tells you; if there is such an option, I would love it. I have just grown more interested in the nighttime sky and want to know more about what is out there. Thank you for your help.
4 AnswersAstronomy & Space8 years agoHow do I solve this math problem?
.55 - 1.645 * the square root of .55(1-.55)/220. I keep coming up with -0.399, but the correct answer is 0.495. Can you please explain to me what I am doing wrong? I am multiplying .55 and .45 together and then divide that by 220. Once I get that, I get the square root of that number, and then finish solving the equation. Obviously I am doing something wrong. Thanks.

1 AnswerHistory8 years agoWhere can I find information about the different identity groups founded by Marshall Singer?
I attend an online university, and I have to make a discussion posts about the identity groups talked about by Marshall Singer (1998). Unfortunately, my required readings do not mention anything about it, nor can I find any information about it online. And yes, I did send my professor an email today. For some strange reason, this is the first week of class and she is on vacation. I'm not feeling good about this. Thanks for your help.

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhich language would a baby learn?
A couple of decades ago when I was in grade school, I remember a teacher telling me that if you take a newborn born in the USA to English only speaking parents, and give that newborn to a Japanese only speaking family, then the child will "learn" to speak Japanese instead of English. Is this true? If it is, could you please supply me with a reference. I just asked my professor this question, and "suggested" that I look it up myself. But I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
4 AnswersLanguages9 years agoWhy do the U.S. territories issue party primary delegates when they can't vote for president?
About a week or so ago, Guam and I think America Samoa held a republican primary and issued delegates. But when the Presidential election comes around in November, their votes don't count. Why is that? I understand why with the election, but why issue delegates to begin with?

1 AnswerHomework Help9 years agoWhen can I access my free credit reports?
I know that a person can get their credit reports for free from the three major bureaus once per year. But I just naturally assumed that I got request them Dec. 31 one year and then again Jan. 1 the following year. I just realized that that isn't the case. One has to wait a full calender year. Without knowing when I requested my free credit reports last year, is there a way to find out when I'm able to request them again?
