HI! My 2 year old cat, Jasmine, that i got from the shelter and have had for 3 months is lovely. however, she?
LOVES to lick me! she kisses my face and my hands! i think its sweet, but, i have to make her stop after a few seconds. she stops, then starts again! so, i flick her nose and tell her "no more kisses!" and she stops. why does she do this? does she love me that much, or like the taste of my salty skin, or think im a big cat and is grooming me?! what do you think? does your cat do this? thanks!

aawww shes grooming you! thats adorable, that means she loves you and wants to "take care of" you just like you take care of her.
my old cat from my childhood home likes to lick my hair, even with hair spray, so i have to stop him cause thats icky. but he also loves my fiancee, he licks him all over too. lol.
dont flick her nose, thats an extremely sensitive part of a cats body. try picking her up and moving her away from you, this should stop it. just keep telling her no more kisses.

It's dumb of you to flick your cats nose. The reason they do it is because when cats are friends they will lick each others heads since otherwise they would have to lick their paw and rub that on their head. It's a nice thing, she's saying she like you and you go on confusing her by being mean.

Never hit your animals. She is just thankful and showing you how much she loves you. Its the sweetest thing ever and then you flick her nose. If you had kids that hugged and loved on you all the time would you flick their nose?

My kitten does the same. Someone told me its because they love you abd want to groom you back. Nine licks me when I pet him.
