If abortion is murder, does that mean a miscarriage is 3rd degree murder or involuntary manslaughter?

Update:

If a pregnant woman decides she wants to roller-blade and falls on her stomach resulting in a miscarriage or she smoked cigarettes and/or drank alcohol, is that murder?

Spirit_O, thanks for the link, that article clearly shows the slippery slope my question is trying to point out.

If abortion is legally considered murder, then every miscarriage must be criminally investigated to ensure no foul play was involved, and yes, if a jury decides that a woman took actions that directly resulted in the death of her embryo/fetus (whether through negligence or trying to induce demise), the logical conclusion is that her miscarriage is murder/manslaughter.

Miscarriage falls under the medical category of Abortion. Poor, unwed mothers have more miscarriages, so they should probably be investigated when they have miscarriages, in case it was really an abortion. They should be examined by a forsenic doctor who specializes in such cases. Perhaps we should have a Cold Case show just about this. What about a woman who wants to get an abortion, but does not, instead, she takes poor care of herself, and has a miscarriage. Should that be a crime also? After all, the intention is there, and the result is the same. (sic) <-- That means this is sarcasm.

    Is a heart attack murder?

You liberals love to kill innocent children and then try to justify the killing with silly comments

Abortion is a planned attack for the purpose of ending another persons life

    So yes abortion is murder.

    Miscarriage is not.

You liberals will try to make people believe anything just so you can keep killing.

And you call Conservatives hate mongers

A miscarriage is a very unfortunate event that sometimes naturally occurs. It isn't something that involves injections, blades, and vacuums.

Georgia State Rep. Bobby Franklin, a Republican from Marietta, Georgia, has introduced a bill that would criminalize miscarriages, making abortion and miscarriage -- or "prenatal murder" in the language of the bill -- potentially punishable by death.

Depends on the cause of the miscarriage. If it is drug use, or physical abuse, or with or without a motive, it could be either.

    Your "logic" is astounding.

Are you trying to say that the manner of death doesn't matter, just the end-result matters?

That's like saying because people die in car accidents, it justifies genocide.

No, no one made the conscious decision, planned and then took action involving another party to miscarry. idiot

You can rationalize all you want, a dead child is a dead child. The question is WHY?
