Why do Conservatives want Obama to do something about the price of gas...?

Because he ran on a platform of high gas prices, as did his energy czar. And now he doesn't want to take responsibility for it, just like all of his other policies.

They know damned well that no President can or could do anything to seriously affect the price of gasoline - other than to go to war with a major petroleum supplier like Iran - which would boost the price of gasoline well over five bucks a gallon within days! But the Repugs know that too many Americans are too stupid to realize that! So they use it as a wedge issue.

Obama doesn't control the price of gas, even if he did, the price of oil would be set by the country who the US buys it from and the price would be set accordingly to make up for losses.

People I dont care what party your in the president has little control on this issue so if your calling liberals stupid and ur blaming obama your the truly stupid one and also why isnt congeress helping the president with oil costs not that they can do much either but they wouldnt help obama anyways

The President can't do anything about gas prices, FOX news even said so. Of course, they were talking about Bush, so now that a democrat is in office it is Obama's fault.

Judging by the amount of dumb questions directed to "conservatives" today. about eight in the last half hour, I would say that most of the lazy, welfare sucking libs are all here instead of looking for work.
