What sort of crowds do Ring of Honor and Shimmer attract?

What sort of crowds do Ring of Honor and Shimmer Women's Athletes attract?

BQ: Is it true Davey Richards stated he had no interest in going to WWE?

Update:

I also meant to add what sizes of crowds do Ring of Honor and Shimmer Women's Athletes attract aswell as the type of crowds they attract?

ROH (and Shimmer) attract fans who don't care about ridiculous melodramatic "Hollywood" storylines and angles, fans who don't believe mic skills make them "better wrestlers", fans who don't care what a wrestler looks like. ROH (and Shimmer) attract fans who watch for the wrestling match itself. ROH (and Shimmer) attract fans who, to quote Gorilla Monsoon, do know the difference between a wrist-lock and a wristwatch. ROH (and Shimmer) attract fans who appreciate the art of professional wrestling, the "game of human chess", the exchange of holds and counter-holds, moves and counter-moves, of telling a story in the ring. ROH and (Shimmer) attract fans who want realism in wrestling matches. ROH (and Shimmer) attract fans who value wrestling skills over everything else. If you can wrestle well you can get over in ROH (and Shimmer) despite "lack of charisma, lack of mic skills" etc.

ROH (and Shimmer) attract crowds in the hundreds, maybe up to a thousand or so for big events.

BQ: Yep. Davey Richards is a professional wrestler, not a "sports entertainer". He has no desire to become one of Vince's cartoon characters and being subject to the WWE's schedule. As an "indy" wrestler Davey calls his own shots (as far as when where and how often he wrestles). To some pro wrestlers, being in charge of their own lives is more important than "fame and riches" in the WWE being under their thumb.

    Ring Of Honor Wwe

  • Fans that are more intelligent that WWE Fans and TNA Fans. Fans that throw streamers in the ring when the Wrestlers enter the ring, just like they do in Japan. ROH and Shimmer Fans sit down and watch the matches. They don't block your view of the matches like WWE and TNA Fans do. WWE Fans stand up and hold up signs and block your view of the ring. ROH Fans sit down when asked and are actually engrossed in the action. ROH Fans interact with the Wrestlers and Manager, it's great. My brother and I are going to the 2 ROH Shows in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida next week.

Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards considers himself a Professional Wrestler and not a "Sports Entertainer". If Davey Richards were to sign a Contract with The WWE, he could no longer wrestle matches for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Pro Wrestling Guerilla and Ring of Honor. He has no interest in wrestling for WWE.

It has real wrestling fans that enjoy the pure sport of WRESTLING. They don't have little kids, who only know of wrestlers in WWE, and only know WWE period. They don't have crazy sex driven women who only like the sport because they like staring at the men's pecs, and they don't have fans that just watch because of one person(i.e. fans watch WWE because of only Cena). Most of the people in the crowd are the IWC. You see the IWC talking about how much they adore ROH and the independents. There are wrestling purists who have been watching wrestling for years and have very high knowledge of wrestling. So basically, ROH and SHIMMER fans are WRESTLING fans. There is a difference between WWE fans and wrestling fans. WWE fans like entertainment, wrestling fans like wrestling, something WWE is not.

EDIT: In NYC ROH has the biggest crowds usually. ROH's crowds I believe are under 10,000. Don't really know.

BQ: Haven't heard of that, but he shouldn't. WWE doesn't use true talent properly. Sure Eddie, and Bret, and Punk, and Bryan, and Jericho, and Angle, and Lesnar and others turned out fine. But look at how they used Luke Gallows, and how they didn't put Colt Cabana on the road, or how CM Punk was barley used properly before his push. The best thing to do, is to stay where you are wanted and needed not misused and underused.

Picture the kinds of fans ECW and NWA:TNA attracted. The ROH fans are pure wrestling fans that wanna see quality matches instead of long-winded promos that last 25 minutes. Not so sure about the Davey Richards thing but it wouldn't surprise me.
