Why did my vegan roomate cry when I tricked him in to eating some chicken?

Probably because he realised that he would have to find some new friends, the kind that respect his beliefs and diet choices and the type of friends he can trust.

Imagine tricking your Jewish roommate into eating pork, or your roommate who is allergic to peanuts into eating a PB&J: not as funny, is it? Veganism is a strong-held personal belief and moral code and/or health routine. Be a little more considerate.

Tricking your roommate into eating chicken was a very immature, cruel and disrespectful decision. Aside from the disgust at eating meat, I am sure your roommate is horrified by the thought of living with someone so untrustworthy. He/she would every right to seek other housing.

The consistency of chicken is fleshy. How does a vegan not recognize this difference? I'm sure immediately after biting into it he would have noticed something. Point being, you're just making sh*t up to piss people off as this did not happen.

Some vegans are vegan because of their religion. Lots of people are firm believers in their religion. My friend is vegan and gets very sensitive about the topic. You should apologize before you become enemies.

well, here's an answer and its going to shock you, vegans don't eat meat because they don't like to kill animals OH MY GOD. did you know that? vegans are not vegetarians they don't eat meat because the don't like it they don't eat meat because they don't like the thought of killing other animals to get food, just like what happens when we run out of food people might start killing each other, and vegans don't want to protray eating other things that are living as a good thing.

Vegans believe it is cruel for humans to eat anything that involves animals. Knowing this, tricking your friend into eating chicken made them sick to know they ate animal flesh. You should probably apologize.

Because your roommate doesnt want to eat meat and you tricked him/her! I have one word for you, RESPECT. I am a vegetarian and my close friends would sometimes push me to eat meat and i really get irritated. Fiends should accept their friend's stand on animal eating.
