should nintendo release pokemon red, blue, and yellow on eshop for the 3ds?
nintendo has taken some serious financial damage from the tough world economy and their sales have dropped, now i know that on the 3ds they have downloadable content which includes old game boy, game boy color and game boy advance titles. i wonder why they didnt put the pokemon games because they were a huge part of the game boy's history and i dont why they wouldn't release it because they generate a lot of sales on eshop. classic gamers who no longer have the games on their respective systems can buy it if they have a 3ds and it would also give the new generation of pokemon fans an inside look at the games the older generation of fans once played and would introduce them to the games that brought the franchise to a worldwide phenomonon

This should not be a high priority, I would really prefer Nintendo to focus on other franchises, i.e. the Mother games and Metroid games, but MAINLY Mother games. The Mother franchise has a really high potential as it is unique and has became an RPG like no other. Sadly only Mother 2, or Earthbound, was released in the U.S. and Europe got none. If they revive it in other countries and Japan itself, Nintendo could probably make more money this time than they did before. Earthbound did poorly because it wasn't released at the right time, but since the Earthbound community has grown and has became a very powerful game and has gain a great fanbase, in my all honest opinion focusing on games like Mother will raise the sales of Nintendo games much more as people will get tired of a franchise eventually and would like to try something new. Again this is my opinion and if you don't know what Earthbound/Mother is then try it out if possible or just watch walkthroughs. I'm pretty sure you may know of Metroid and Starfox and they are easily accessible. This great franchise, along with some others old school Nintendo franchises fans may know of, might make Nintendo a more powerful company as my opinion is that Nintendo doesn't have ENOUGH variety of games as of today.

They should, but I think the main reason they are not is due to the fact they haven't found a way to link up two games yet (due to a lack of a GB link cable port in the 3DS). Since trading and battling with other people is one of the most important aspects of the Pokemon franchise.

They have already made a remake of Red and Blue for the GBA.
To be honest, i want them to use the fact that the Pokemon game itself is geared towards multiplayer. I wish they can just create a good Pokemon MMO, something that you can play on the 3ds. It shouldn't be a problem.
Wifi, Check.
Fans, Check.
Gameplay that revolves around people fighting other, Check.
Profit, Check.
