First, you need to determine the cause of the inappropriate elimination. Sometimes it is caused by a health condition. Feliway won't help with that. If it is behavioral, (which can be determined only by a vet checking for medical causes) Feliway may help.

Then you need to clean the pee spots with an enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle (pricey but certainly worth it). If you don't clean up the pee it won't matter how much Feliway you spray.

If it is behavioral, and you have cleaned up all the pee and the cat is still peeing there then you can try Feliway. It worked for my cats, but I had to spray it three times a day almost every where. And when I stopped they started fighting more than ever because they all thought everything was their territory. But the fighting has since stopped.

I actually would suggest getting that cat cloud shelf or making your own shelves (much cheaper). This is what resolved the behavior issues for my cats. Feliway is great for temporary use, but if the real issue is lack of vertical space it is better and cheaper to address that.

Three strategically placed shelves and my cats almost never fight.

All I did was get some shelve boards, brackets, and screws from Lowes and some carpet tiles from Amazon. Put the brackets and carpet tiles on the shelves and put the shelves on the walls near trouble areas, cleaned up any pee. Problem almost completely solved. I need more shelves, but haven't gotten around to making them. Not that it takes long, but other issues have gotten in the way.
