Am I too short or what?

I'm confused by some of the other answers you've gotten so far. If you're only 13 and 5'5 already, then you're TALL for your age. Average height for someone your age is just 5' tall. You're already the height of average 14 year old. You're likely to be taller than average when you're done growing.

Seriously though, 13 = you are in puberty.

At 5'- 5" you have finished First Growth spurt

and are in the plateau before Final G-S. and

probably growing some adult muscle.

This means you must be like two and a bit years

into puberty which good going for 13.

So far you are ahead of the game.

In the United States, this is 5 inches below average, and you'll be noticeably shorter than most people around you. At 13, though, you still have many years to grow.

You're fine. You will grow more, but don't count on being 6' or more. I suspect you will reach the average height in time (5'8") Good Luck, GW
