Who was the last President that DIDN'T leave the country worse than when he took over?

I believe it was Reagan. Not only did he build the economy so that Clinton was able to ride that wave (which doesn't bother me), he also impacted the world by ending the Cold War. Oh, and those of you who don't think Reagan had a positive impact on Clinton's presidency, then you can't blame Bush for Obama's poor choices. You can't have it both ways.

There's no real answer to this. Every president leaves changes to the country; for better or worse is just an opinion. So far it's too early to tell for Bush's second term and it will be a while before we really feel the effects of the Obama admin.

john f kennedy, he was going to abolish the federal reserve, he got assassinated for it. 50 years later our economy has been slowly but surely rotting.

andrew jackson also had assassination attempts for trying to do the exact same thing before kennedy, he got lucky and survived tho, so he would be another choice if you didn't like kennedy.

simply put the presidents who were working for the people and not for rich bankers left the country better than when they came into office(tho the presidents who took after their term was over often made things worse, kennedy is the perfect example as the man who took over after he died instantly reinstated the federal reserve), there are very few of those tho, we haven't had a real president since kennedy.
