Looking for some suggestion on losing weight for a busy working mom?

I stopped drinking diet Pepsi about a month ago and gain almost 10 pounds. I would drink almost a 2L bottle daily. I find now I drink a lot more coffee, some water. I may have one fruity drink a day.

I am finding it hard to drink a lot of water. After having three kids I like to lose 60 to 70 pounds.

Does anyone have any suggestion or motivation tips? To help me get started.. Please keep in mind I am really busy working mom. I don't really have any time for myself.

I don't really have a support system.

My weight yo-yo's. I thought stop drinking pop would get me started

Update:

Thank you

I am not a mother, but I am busy (I'm a teacher), and I lost a lot of weight in the past few months. This was not my first attempt in the last few years, and it was always the lack of time that got in my way. Some things that helped me:

    1. Plan ahead. I have lots of ideas for quick healthy meals, and I loosely plan what I will make for the week and get the groceries I'll need on the weekend.

    2. Make some things in advance in big quantities. Make a batch of lentil stew, turkey chili, or turkey meatballs/meat loaf on the weekend for the rest of the week. Buy pre-cooked hard boiled eggs for salads or boil your own, peel them, and put them in a container in the fridge. Make brown rice and throw it in a container or big ziploc bag--brown rice doesn't get soggy easily and it's healthy and filling. Chop up a veggie mix for salads.

    3. Reduce your time in the kitchen. Most of my meals involve sandwiches, stuff I made in advance on the weekend, steamed veggies (broccoli takes like 5 minutes to steam), salads, and whole grain pasta. I also use a lot of frozen veggies. It's untrue that they're devoid of nutrients. They're just fine. For salads I use spinach or arugula because you just pull it out of the bag and throw it on the plate--no chopping. I rarely spend more than 20 minutes cooking on a weekday, sometimes even less.

    4. Exercise can be tricky. If you don't have time for a long workout you need to increase your overall activity level, break workouts up into smaller sessions, and/or increase the intensity of your workouts. Keep track of how much time you spend moving and sitting. A pedometer helps you monitor this. Jump rope or do jumping jacks or go for a brisk walk for 10 or 15 minutes a couple times a day if you can't find a longer stretch of time. Make the time count! Walking for 20 minutes won't do much (though it's better than nothing) but a 20 minute run can burn serious calories. To do more intense exercise you need to build up to it. I couldn't run for 3 minutes when I started. I alternated running and walking until I could do it. If you can burn more calories faster you won't need to work out for as long. And you have kids. Run around with them. Take them for a walk. Play tag with them. Push them in a stroller while you run. Use the time you spend with them as your workout time. Every little bit helps.

    5. Get support. If you don't have people in your life who support you, then you've already taken a good first step by reaching out online! Join a weight loss forum on a site like Livestrong. Even a couple minutes a day of reading others' stories or having people offer you encouragement can really help.

    Hope this helps!
