My cat wakes me in the mornings by licking my hair.?
Does this have any significance apart from the obvious one that she thinks it's time for me to get up? I've had many feline companions over the years, but in my experience, this is a first.
She's also particular about the area she licks; it's always the hair above and on my temples.

Aw.. that is very sweet. Consider yourself lucky. Your cat really loves you. She is grooming you. One of my cats would do that EVERY morning but only to my husband and she would lick his back, hand.. whatever she could get to each and every morning until she passed. My other two cats do not do that at all.

Our 2 newest kittens do this when none of the others have.
Maybe it's genetic? lol
