Draw length 1-inch too short.?

Let me help you on this one.

There is no problem at all to shoot a compound bow with a inch draw length shorter then your normal draw length.

The knowledgeable archers will even tell you it is an advantage to shoot a compound with a little shorter draw .

You simple shoot with a slightly bent elbow, which is actually the correct form for shooting a compound. I have found the advantage of the bent elbow, will allow you to shoot with heavy clothing on in the winter without fear of the string hitting your forearm. And in the summer it will benefit you by never having to use an arm guard to prevent the bow string from raking your forearm

I shoot a one inch shorter draw length for those very reasons I listed.

Just bend the elbow a little, and you will not have a problem in the world with the 28 inch draw length.

This is the great thing about Mathews bows. Even though they stopped production on these bows they still have the molds. Go to any Mathews pro shop and ask for a 29 inch cam for a Drenalin. If they don't have one around they can order one from Mathews. They usually run around $80. You can find a Mathew's retailer by going to the Mathew's web sight and looking under the dealer locator's.

dont buy it, get one that is the proper draw length. this isnt the apocalypse or something. there are plenty of bows out there that are the right draw length. it's going to teach you bad habits, throw off your shot, and put you in the wrong position, and maybe twist the limbs if you pull it back too far. compound bows and recurves were not meant to be shot like that. a longbow is the only one that is o.k. to over draw a little because it doesn't really have a set draw length and they are not prone to twisting, and you would have to have like a 7 foot wingspan or over 35" draw to overdraw a long bow anyways..

People give stupid answers sometimes. What you have to do is, either change the string. Or don't pull it all the way back, or, get an overdraw ikit. I have never seen a bow that couldn't be adjusted by an inch. that's why the strings come in odd length increments.

No way to adapt or fix that problem. Either the draw fits your arm length or it doesn't. If you try to use a bow that is too small for you, you will have to hunch over to touch the same spot on your cheek each shot and that will make it difficult if not impossible to be consistent each shot.

Use a release instead of fingers and that should shorten your draw length some . Also a release with a wrist strap can be loosened some to shorten your draw length a little more . You may have to anchor in a different spot but you can get use to that . When I went from fingers to a release it shortened my draw length about an inch .

You dont mention what make and model.It is possible to get the proper module for it depending on age.But as stated proper DL is a must.If it was only a half inch I would suggest a loop be installed.Find a bow shop that sells the brand name and check with them.
