Help me with my book!?
This is my idea for the book. its about a girl name kit who is chained to a prison floor but this prison doesnt have a name and nobody can escape it. So far i have written the first pharagraph and the last sentence says "then she heard the small thud of footseps." So the guy whos walking towards her is the key master wich is the guy who controls the prison so when he gets to kit he doesnt know the bolt is loose so she quickly gets up and hits him and starts running but she trips and gets knocked out. The problem is i dont know how to put that into a book please help me. This is a book that switchis off between chapters. Like the first chapter is about kit and then the second chapter is about seth then the third is about kit and so on

a book that switches off would work better if they were in two completely different places, or at least didn't know each other. With books like that they usually have some relation to each other and then they meet in like the last few chapters. But really i never really liked those types of books. If you want to get everyone's points of views in, then change I to She and He and all. That way you could say, She reached as far as she could, trying to get the key that landed right in front of her dark cell. Just as she was reaching, (insert name here) was trying to do the same thing, ignoring his screaming arm.
With that type of writing you can tell what both are thinking, doing, ect. If the jail is dark, Kit wouldn't see that the boy is reaching for the key too. It's a lot easier really, and i find that stories are much more fun to write that way.
