Not as often as I should or want to. But there are more times when I do when I am responding to the questions posted on Y!A.

And it DOES help me find out about THE TRUTH of God and His LOVE in my life and ALL of our lives.

"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:7

As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

I used to study it for 16 hours a day and now I read the bible for one hour every 6-8 months but it's not because I've turned away from God. I meditate on religious ideas and philosophies 24-7... I just believe that personal growth is achieved through living a righteous life and not through scriptural study.

I personally read a few times a week, though I definitely should read more. Most of my Christian friends read a little every day. We have the Holy Spirit and he teaches us through his word, that is how God ministers to us, so to answer your question, yes I guess it does "help us get the truth in life", though that is worded weird.

I read a daily scripture.....then I read some of the bible daily.....then, I do a weekly bible study....and then, I read and study the scriptures that are prepared for weekly service.

Yes, there is truth in the bible....absolute truth.

Saturday that is lite, because of the fact i'm busy with "Honey-do's" or the occasional outreach, and Sunday I hear reliable topical preaching. I attend a "Pentecostal" non-denominational Church, yet am far from 'cookie cutter' Pentecostal - that is in simple terms the place God has me. i think of provider to the physique and evangelism take precedent over doctrine, and so I learn difficult on my own. i've got faith STRONGLY, I mean STRONGLY, that maximum in my neck of the woods do no longer examine their Bibles lots, and that shocks me and saddens me. it is not lots the hours/time spent, yet greater a undertaking on my section the place i'm questioning: "Do those human beings rather have faith it rather is God's word ?" humorous undertaking however - I went 10 days with out analyzing on an identical time as on trip final year. when I have been given domicile, i became conquer with guilt, and vowed by no skill to envision the newpaper on the prepare lower back, yet as a replace examine my Bible. somebody observed me analyzing my Bible, and felt brought about introduce themselves as a fellow believer. That dating spawned a revival in my walk with the Lord far, far greater desirable than i could desire to've imagined. So God moved by way of my non everlasting "apathy" for analyzing His word. humorous how that works. ======================================... Every day.

It keeps me focused on what is important in life and what truly brings happiness:

(Matthew 6:33, 34) . . .“Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these [other] things will be added to YOU. 34 So, never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Sufficient for each day is its own badness.

(Matthew 5:3) . . .“Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need,. . .
