How to treat a sprain finger?

I was playing basketball today and the ball hit my finger and it is getting swollen. I tried putting ice but the swelling still looks the same. Please Help.

Yeah, i had similar to your's a few weeks ago, playing soccer when i got a big *** hard shot from a guy and the ball f*ed up my finger. It wasn't broken, but it turned blue and it was swollen. But all i did was taking bandage around it everyday and some ice. Don't use / work with it so much and u'll be fine :)

Put it in a splint or wrap something tightly around it. That should help the swelling go down.

You either sprained, broke, or jammed it.

Just don't bend it much, apply ice, and if you can make a homeade cast for it, it'll heal faster.

(Popsicle sticks, bandage wrap, medical tape)
