Painting fork sliders - black or color coat?

I'm getting ready to paint my sliders on a frame off build. I'm blacking everything except the tins out with high temp paint, so everything black (frame, motor, brakes, etc) will be the same color - no contrast.

The fender will be color coat, and there is a front fairing that will be color coat. The wheel and brake caliper will be black.

My question - should I paint the fork sliders in color or also go black? For reference, its a 79 KZ1000 with a Vetter fairing and hardbags, no trunk.

Update:

Thanks for the non-answer Mad Jack. My opinion is 50/50. Hence I want to know other people's opinions, and maybe why so I see a different angle. It's not like I can see the sliders while I'm riding, so its for everyone elses pleasure.

Update 2:

The color will be very conspicuous. Pearl Kawasaki racing green w/ pearl white racing stripes with about 5 or 6 coats of clear. The black is satin and there for contrast and to cover bad chrome. I'm usually not into style and paint with whatever is on sale if I bother at all. But I don't want to go through the effort of going through every single nut and bolt for a mechanically mint bike and not look like a million bucks.

    Color.

Perhaps one thin stripe up the center of each - your pearl white with a thin black shadow line.

I think doing them in color would look good since youre blacking everything else out. I suggest taking some paper with the color on it and some with black and just taping them on then you can pre decide which you like better. It is your bike right? It's good to get others opinions, but who's gonna ride it? You, or everybody else?

My preference would be black. I like the look of everything mechanical blacked out, and anything "bodywork" a bright color. I also think that leaving just a small amount of polished aluminum or chrome actually (like the nuts, bolts and screws for example) makes the blacked out parts look blacker.

The human eye prefers to see color rather than black.

It will also help with safety, as an all black bike tends to blend in with the dark color of the road.

    Help them see you.

    Shiny side up.

You can go with black fork lowers, and hide the shiny tubes with black fork gaiters, which also lend a retro flavour.

Personally, I prefer conspicuity over fashion ANY day, but that's just me.

Isn't this more of a personal preference that only you should make. It's your bike, you pick the color combinations. Make your own decision.
