Biopsy under the tongue?

Has anyone ever had this done or known anyone who's had it done? They're doing a biopsy of a lump/open lesion under the tongue tomorrow. I was just wondering how much pain is involved, what you can or can't eat, whether they've had to take a day off work due to it, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

They will numb things first. That will be like Novocaine. When that wears off you will have some discomfort. If it requires a stitch it may be awkward for a week. The good news is that the mouth heals quickly. I hope it turns out tom be nothing.

Good luck. I would think you'd earn the day off from your employer? Have you asked them?

Your doctor would I hope explain all this before you are operated on!

You sound like a tough person and a survivor - don't be afraid to use this incident as a work break if you need to. I would imagine you might need more than a day off sick?
