No Health Risk When Jehovah's Witnesses Refuse Blood: MEDICAL STUDY
MONDAY, July 2 (HealthDay News) -- Jehovah's Witnesses routinely refuse blood transfusions, and new research suggests the religious custom has some benefits, at least when it comes to heart surgery.
The study of cardiac surgery patients found that the risk of dying was similar among 322 members of the Jehovah's Witness religion, who did not receive blood transfusions, and 322 patients who did get transfusions.
Moreover, the Jehovah's Witness patients had lower risks of additional surgeries, heart attack, kidney failure and blood infection than the others, according to the report published online July 2 in Archives of Internal Medicine.
PLEASE check out Reuters Health and read the entire story. This is independent medical research, and not written by Jehovah's Witnesses.

More hospitals are turning to non blood procedures promoted by Jehovah's Witnesses. Of course since blood is big business/money ( donated product that is then sold for a profit) I think blood transfusions will still be in place until the end of this system of things.

I would think heart surgery isn't a procedure where you'd expect a large blood loss... so transfusion is more of a cautionary measure there. And may indeed not be without risk.
But if you have major trauma, blood transfusions can pretty obviously save your life.

Provide a link because I am unable to locate this. The reason I ask is because the American Red Cross completely refutes this.

I think you need to get your facts straight. One study taken out of context is meaningless. The truth of the matter is that 10,000 lives are saved DAILY because of blood transfusions.

Is the Bible right or wrong?
Acts 15:28, 29:
For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things, 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!”

I have never taken blood , and never will ... If it is my last wish before i died i would never receive it for any reason .. Acts clearly speaks what is the truth of the subject , and that is enough for me . Apparently that is also enough for my doctors to listen to my knowledge of what is a proven fact ...

Planned surgery is quite a different experience than emergency surgery.
Being able to plan and prep for a surgical procedure, with the tools available today, I am not surprised that they are able to do so without a transfusion. It is a testament to advanced technology and excellent training on behalf of the surgeons.
When it is an emergency such massive blood loss due to a car crash, is there a study that shows that Witnesses stand a better chance of survival by refusing a transfusion?
Witnesses love to compare apples to oranges.

I can find a doctor to say that Jesus was an Alien and owned a light saber
Any quack will say anything to get printed in a medical journal
Same as you finding 1 bible scholar to say 1 positive thing about the New World Translation
does not make it anything but a changed rewritten counterfeit bible
Show me when all doctors agree and I might pay attention
In the real world we call this grabbing at straws

Meaningless, in my opinion. It certainly does not justify the deaths from lack of blood when a JW refused a blood transfusion because his religion interprets the transfusion as "drinking" blood.
As to the lower risks, it isn't because they didn't get a blood transfusion, but more likely because the doctor's understood that they had no choice if the procedure wasn't done correctly.
TDs expected from JWs

Jehovah God, our Grand Creator knows what is best for mankind. These blessings are beneficial to all those who are obedient to God's instructions. Oh, if only the majority of mankind could be obedient....what grand blessings the world would experience.
