What's your view on climate change? I was a non-believer until I saw this weather forecast?

Yeah, it's a youtube link, but it's a link to a weather forecast.

It makes me wonder.

    I'm skeptical of everything.

When it comes to climate change, some things that make me skeptical -- How meaningful is a "global average temperature"? Why are we only observing fractions of the effects they were claiming 15 years ago would be overwhelming? Why do the proponents insist that no amount of money is too much to spend in addressing this issue? How accurate are climate models that do not include effects from clouds?

I could go on listing questions for hours, but you get the idea. Incidents of hot weather have occurred, but the media always hype it up -- Warming when it's hot, cooling when it's cold. I'm unimpressed.

Is there climate change? You bet. The climate is not a static system. What's the cause? Should we do anything about it? If so, what? At what cost? If humans stopped emitting carbon dioxide tomorrow...and we stayed at zero emissions for the next thousand years, a single major volcanic eruption could undo all our changes.

You can't go by weather forecasts. First off, there are events that break records ever year. Second that does nothing to establish causality. Two winters ago it was below average.

There is pretty clear evidence the Earth is warming. Causation is another issue though. There are two major issues with saying it's man made

1- None of the models that say it is has been predictive in the least. It isn't warming as fast as they predict. There have been pauses in the warming that weren't predicted. The ice isn't melting like they thought.

2- The data we have from other planets shows they are warming too, which points to a Solar cause. Mars, Triton, Pluto, and Saturn have pretty clear signs and even direct measurements. Jupiter and about half a dozen other moons have evidence of increased atmospheric activity that suggest warming.

The video is simply a comedic skit playing on exaggerated version of what people fear may happen in the future. I'm hoping that you are joking about basing your belief in climate change on the fake forecast.

It's happening. The evidence is all around us and it's just going to get worse. We are seeing patterns in the weather that the scientist said would happen. Doesn't matter if it is or isn't our fault. It can still make like very uncomfortable.

Climate change is occurring, but how dangerous it is is questionable. People don't realize it but Antarctica was once a warm continent full of lushly green grass and large dinosaurs. No ice! lol. If large animals could survive without the polar ice-caps.... can't we also survive???

its one of those subjects where the shades of grey need to be looked at and not just (it's happening and its all our fault) or (it's not happening at all) there can be lots of different causes, personally the evidence I've seen leads me to believe that its happening but its not entirely our fault, another misconception is the name global warming, it doesn't just mean that things will get warmer but that weather will be more extreme across the board (not just heat)

Climate change is a fact, your personal beliefs are of no consequence to the reality of the situation. My personal beliefs just happen to coincide with reality. I also believe in gravity, do you? (not that gravity requires my belief)
