Go buy an ace bandage wrap and wrap it around your hand to secure your bandage in place.

Instead of a bandage use gauze wrap. It dose the same thing and you can tie it so it stays on. Plus you won't look silly, gauze tape is used all the time for injuries, just say you burnt your hand if someone asks.
