I broke my wrist and no health insurance, can I just buy a brace?

I can pay for an office visit probably, but I dont think its necessary, there is little swelling and it just aches, really. Ive broken my other wrist in the exact same manner, so I know for sure its broken. Would it be ok if I just bought a really strong wrist brace?

problem is, that you just don't know how it broke....it may just need surgery..a brace will surely help to allow you to limit movement, but your bone will repair in the direct manner that it is situated @ this time...it may be in such a position that it will heal malaligned....again, you may need surgery depending on the break...
