Do i clean up the silver the doctor put on my wound?

So my incision hasn't closed and today the doctor put some silver. But im about to change my bandage and i dont know whether to leave it or clean up the area. Does anyone know?

    Leave the silver on. It has good antibacterial properties, but needs to remain in direct contact with the wound to be effective.

    I do wonder why you would change the bandage so soon after having it applied though. The more dressings are interfered with, the slower the healing process will be.

    call your doctor. I don't think you should wipe it off.
