I am dating someone who says his ex wife can't watch the little son they have because she has a bad back. So he watches him all weekend.
What kind of bad back can she have at 41 years old that she can't watch her son? Any ideas? He says she is having back surgery in a month?
I really don't know much about it

Could be anything really from degenerative conditions to disc problems.
She might have ankylosing spondylitis like I do.
Any back problem can make life difficult. There's no bending over, or lifting which is part of the day to day care of young children.
