I need to retrain my cat how to use the litter box again?
My Male cat has a number of diseases in his urine, such as UTI, Struvite Crystals, etc. Because of his condition he has continued to urinate on the floor. Its already been a month since his surgery for his condition, and he continues to urinate all over my floor. Is there any way i can RE-TRAIN him all over again to use his box. I have told the doctors this before but none of their tips worked. Please help, the smell is just getting worse and worse as it stains my wood floor

Your cat is associating that particular litter box with pain. That is why he urinates on the floor instead. I would purchase a completely new litter box all together. One that does not look like what your cat had previously used. I personally use a litter box called Clevercat. It is a top entry box. It also keeps your floor litter free. Cats have no problem getting in and out of it.

Switch the litter as well. The clumping Arm & Hammer (non scented) litter is the best (in my opinion).
If you are able to switch the location of the litter box - that would probably help as well.
I hope this works out for you!

This may sound a bit crude, but should work.
When he urine's on the floor, get some litter and sprinkle it on the urine so it is absorbed. Put that litter into his freshly cleaned litter box. Of course, the point is to get him to smell that in the box and when he smells that combined with the feel of litter under his feet, I'm hopeful he gets the idea and goes about his 'business'!
In addition, if you can, try to keep him confined to a small space with the litter box for a day or two, then he surely should use the box.

You didn't let us know the age of the cat. If it's older have her checked for kidney issues. Otherwise, for cleansing I use Simple Solution from Petsmart Collect her poo from in which ever she does it and placed it within the field. If she is shy check out hanging a canopy over the field, you'll be able to purchase those within the retailer or simply make on out of a massive cardboard field. Please don't use bleach Hope this is helping
