You'll want to use a moisturizer that has a sunscreen in it, to help prevent additional sun damage such as dark spots. I like the Oil of Olay moisturizer for sensitive skin, SPF 15.
The dark spots are often permanent, though. They're from sun damage you have had over your lifetime. There are some products, such as Porcelana, which fade these dark spots, but they don't work on everyone. In fact, one rare side effect is that they can make the spot *darker*, so if you use a product that contains hydroquinone such as Porcelana, try it out on a less conspicuous spot first. Apply a tiny bit for two weeks. If you don't see any darkening, you can apply it to the rest of your dark spots, according to the label directions. In addition, you can also see a dermatologist re: the dark spots.
