Building my own Gaming PC?

Nothing extremely fancy. I don't want the best of the best, well... I wouldnt mind, but i dont have that sort of money. I'm after the type of specs that can run games like skyrim and call of duty competantly, with no lag, and reasonable quality, i would say a console's standards roughly in terms of fps ect.

Now i live in england, so I'd rather you tell me in £ (Pounds) But i can look at the parts you name from a british source.

Thanks alot dudes/dudettes!

Sam!

Not sure how this question showed up in USA questions only, but anyway you can build a fairly good gaming rig nowadays without spending too much. For the bare minimum, you should have either a quadcore AMD FX processor or a dual-core Intel processor such as the Core i3, 4GB DDR3 RAM, a SATA III hard drive, and a fairly new and decent graphics card like the Radeon HD 7770. If you want to go cheaper, you can try building one with an AMD APU A8 chip, which has passable video built-in, it's about half the speed of a good mid-range card like the aforementioned Radeon HD 7770, which is enough for most casual gaming without running them on high graphics settings.

    Motherboard ($105)

    CPU ($120)

    Video card ($125)

That should be able to run almost all modern games with ease.
