  • Missing applications from the Oil & Gas Industry - ATEX & IECEx?

    Hi Guys;

    I'm an apprentice studying for a HNC In Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and i have to come up with a project, I work for a Engineered solutions company, based in the UK, and for my last course i designed a wireless access point inside an Ex'd Enclosure with IS outputs through galvanic isolators,

    What applications do you think are missing from the Oil & Gas industry?

    The standards I work with daily are

    BS-EN:60079-0 General Requirements,

    BS-EN:60079-1 Equipment Protection by flameproof enclosures 'd'

    BS-EN:60079-11 Equipment Protection by Intrinsic Safety 'i'

    Any idea's are welcome!

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Guys, I've been racing supermoto for the last 8 years, and the sport is dying! So fancy a change, I'm driving on the road now, and I'm loving cars! With my bike sold I would have a budget for around £4.5K what cars would you recommend and how much would licences etc cost? already have a car trailer and a motorhome so they arent problems!

  • Corsa D 2011-14 Engine swap?

    Hi Guys/gals

    What would be involved with an engine swap?

    I'm purchasing a limited edition 1.2i corsa, with the vxr wheels/body kit/suspension, and I'm tempted to put a true VXR Engine in it,

    please note - 'just buy a VXR' isn't an appropriate answer ;)

    Thanks!

  • Peugeot 106 - Pimping (intellectual)?

    Hi Guys; My faithful Corsa died the other day, so picked up a cheap shagged 1.1L 106 for £300, engine is tight but the rest of the car is a mess. I want to tidy it up a bit and make it a bit more respectable

    Going to have a look around the scrappys near me, but anyone got any idea's how to make it a good looker, with out it looking chavvy, I'm talking inside and out! maybe a bit of fun for the engine too,

    Cheers!

  • Facebook page starting up guide?

    Hi Guys..../Ladies;

    I've started up a page on Facebook with my best mate, its basically just a page for ridiculously insensitive/racist/funny pictures and jokes, believe me I'm not racist or anything, but I'm laid back and can find such things amusing.... now, how would i start to build up a fan base to share stuff with, I'm not talking thousands of fans, literally just a couple of hundred, that people can see the stuff I post, any help or advice will be much appreciated! I'm not after these 'Share for share' things, as I want genuine fans that I can interact with and share things with. cheers!

    For reference, here is the page!

  • Best Electronic cigarettes for £40?

    Hi all; I understand the theory behind how they work, yet with all of these different types of electric cigarettes, what are the best ones? I'm talking mainly about the manual ones, only coming from the UK however, and also, if someone fancies, please take me through the more intricate details of the mods with variable V=I=R, and help me understand the point of it a bit better please, I'm an electrical engineer, so don't worry about confusing me in terms of an electrical viewpoint. Thank you!

  • Building my own Gaming PC?

    Nothing extremely fancy. I don't want the best of the best, well... I wouldnt mind, but i dont have that sort of money. I'm after the type of specs that can run games like skyrim and call of duty competantly, with no lag, and reasonable quality, i would say a console's standards roughly in terms of fps ect.

    Now i live in england, so I'd rather you tell me in £ (Pounds) But i can look at the parts you name from a british source.

    Thanks alot dudes/dudettes!
