They can't force him, however they can defund him. They can also back another candidate to run against him.

No, but they can run a 3rd party candidate which would guarantee his loss and a Claire McCaskill win. McCaskill was 9% behind Akins before he stuck his foot in his mouth in a big way.

No, they can't. However, Crossroads immediately pulled their funding as well as other party mechanisms.
The GOP cannot back another candidate, unless they wish to endorse the Democratic incumbent.

If Akin dropped out, how would anyone know, the Tea Party's true agenda ? Are there others, in the Republican Tea Party, as open, & honest ? I can't see the Tea Party leader of the Congress, Ryan... Being any where near, as open, or honest....

They've already pulled financial support, Akin is hoping that other conservatives will pick up the slack and put him over the edge.
