Why can't I sleep? Up for 35 hours?

I've been up for almost 35 hours now. I can't sleep... no matter what I do. I've tried every trick in the book- from warm milk, to medicine.

What do I do?

I just CAN'T sleep?

I'm really nervous that I'll faint during the day, if I don't get some rest in.

You might be suffering from anxiety and that is causing bursts of adrenaline which keep you up. Your body will need to metabolize all the adrenaline. You won't faint from lack of rest even if you can't sleep if you meditate to rest your mind and rest your body by laying in bed even if you can't sleep. Here is a primer on meditation to still the mind: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GYTh2zd0KamjfP...

Also be sure to have a healthy breakfast such as oatmeal, eggs, or greens to give you energy throughout the day. Remember, you can't change one hair on your head from worry, and worry may keep you up, so relax and do what you can do.
