Must we endure the default to RECOMMENDED Questions again?

This happened a while back, and it bugged me then. Who gets to pick the "RECOMMENDED" questions? Makes me want to say b-bye to Y!A.

I had just noticed the same problem. Something is really messed up.

    Ughhh

There are certain causes that unite even the vast chasm of ideologies around here... one is "sponsored questions" another is "feel good rating systems that deny the power of thumbing down a ridiculous response" and finally the "here's a question you might find interesting" instead of the rapid pace and 5 minute opportunity to post a quip that is desperately deserving of a soon to be deleted question"

Give me Freedom (to roam the most recent questions) or give me death! Metaphorically speaking... I don't really want to lay my life on the line for a ridiculously addictive open forum on religion and spiritualy
