I'm attracted to my cat?
Okay, it's not like I want to have sex with him or something, I don't. I just feel like I, I don't know, it's like I love him, like he's my soul mate. It's like we have this connection. He seems to return the feelings. He massages my head, neck & chest. He nuzzles my ears, neck & face & sucks on my ears. He constantly purrs around me. He follows me nearly everywhere & comes to me when I call him like a dog would.
He actually tries his best not to hurt me in any way, such as with biting or scratching even when he wants to do something like take food from me. In the same situation though he would scratch or bite anyone else in my family without hesitation & he rarely listens to them. It's like I look into his eyes & it's like we have some kind of unspoken bond. I don't even see him as a cat when I'm looking into his eyes.
It's like we're just two creatures on this earth. This attraction I feel towards him is not sexual or lustful. Sex never even crosses my mind with him. (I would never hurt an animal in any way, well maybe a human for protection only). It's just that I really feel that I truly love him & not like a pet, like a soul mate.
I know this isn't normal but I just need to know if anyone out there has ever felt something even remotely similar to what I feel for my cat. Please don't tell me how much of a freak I am. I already know that & I don't need to be reminded.

While maybe not being normal, it isn't abnormal. It is normal to have a loving attachment to a pet you feel close to. That ear nibbling, most likely will subside as it ages.
If you enjoy the feelings you have, enjoy it as long as you can. They will eventually pass, although you will still always have warm feelings for it. It isn't hurting you, your cat, or anyone else, so don't be too concerned.
Your cat obviously trusts, and appreciates you, or it wouldln't be as warmly expressive.
Enjoy it, and don't feel guilty, weird, or strange. You are absolutely normal, whatever normal is..

Okay, so you think you're in love with your cat. I have a cat and I love her to death, she purrs around me and tries not to hurt me, she knows when im crying and tries to comfort me, yes we cuddle and she loves me more than any other family members. I don't think we are soul mates. It's normal to have strong feelings for your pets because they can't hurt you. I don't know your or anything so don't take this to heart but if I were to make an assumtion, it would be that you have been deeply hurt by people, whether it was a group of people or society or a family member or someone you've been in a relationship with.
You really need humans not animals. You may need (now don't take this in a rude way) to see a therapist because cats only live like 20 years.
My advice for you is to find a human who you can have a real relationship with. :)

I feel the same for my kitty :) I love him so much, and he really does love me back! He follws me everywhere and whenever i am in my room he sits beside me on my bed and wakes me up in the morning by meowing so i can pet him xD when he playfight with my hand, (biting/kicking/scratching) he always licks the place after. I even taught him to stay when i tell him to, which is helpful as he, being an indoor cat loves to try for freedom whenever the front door is open.
When i call his name and snap my fingers he runs over meowing in greeting.
I truely love my cat, more then i have loved anyone, (even my parents) hes a comfort, im never lonely when I am home, and his presence is always a reassurance when i am upset. I miss him terribly when i am away for long periods of time.
there is nothing wrong with loving your pet. Its like loving your best friend. Love doesnt have to be sexual, love is a super strong friendship, with someone who loves you back :)
dont worry, you are lucky to be able to love something so much :)

I don't think your situation is as unusual as you seem to think, although it maybe happens more often with dogs than cats. Many people feel a very special bond with their pet because of their unconditional love and acceptance. You cat is fulfilling your longing for complete trust and companionship, something that you probably do not have right now from another human being.

okay you need to show him that you love him too by that i mean be nice to him feed him regularly and brush his hair with a brush sometimes but just let him know you are just an owner. YOU are not in love with him HE is in love with you and he is MAKING you love him and let him do that.
