How do I lose weight with insulin?
Okay I'm a diabetic and I'm a bridesmade in a wedding in about a month. The insulin plan I'm on makes it extremely hard to lose weight. Any ideas?
I waited because I didn't know I was going to be in it until last week.

Try eating an appropriate amount of carbohydrates and fat grams. Preferably, your foods will by recommended by www.diabetes.org.

You aren't going to lose more than 4-6 lbs in that time frame, assuming you are very, very lucky. Losing weight on insulin is no different than any kind of weight loss. You still need to eat less. The trouble is out-of-control blood sugar means more insulin. So you'll also need to control blood sugar levels tightly . If you are using a sliding scale for insulin, better blood sugar control -> less insulin -> easier weight loss.

Ask your doctor or whomever if you can change your insulin plan, or take one or two less units of insulin before you eat so you can burn off the carbs while jogging or something like that.

Consult wuth your physician or diabetes educator. It would be unwise trying to do it on your own. Hate to say this but why did you wait until now to deal with this?
