Is anyone but me awestruck by how Spiderman has gone from an Amazing Spiderman to Ultimate Spiderman?
In the Spiderman cartoon series, Peter Parker/Spiderman was always very smart and responsible while the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon has Peter Parker/Spiderman acting like a child. Immature and reckless and conceited.

i dunno, ive watched the majority of spiderman cartoons ( i think the only ones i didnt watch in complete, was the one where he was in space and the really old one)
and it really doesnt surprise me all too much. The goal is to get someone the kids will love. The silly and comical peter parker is the one they'll enjoy. Plus, it fits the current trends for superhero type cartoons for younger audiences ( 8-12 yrs old).
even the amazing spiderman was a lot different from the 90s spiderman, its been heading towards the ultimate version for a while

Read the Ultimate comics rather than relying on the cartoon to give it justice. Its just a modern re-interpretation of Spider-Man wherein he's just a young teenager.

no, just more modern. and ultimate spiderman is not "immature and reckless and conceited."

That's awful! Here's some advice. It's hard to accept, but once you do, it makes things easier. The only constant is change. Everything changes, eventually.
