PC tower turns on but won't power anything else?
When I turn the PC on, the light comes on as if it's powering up (same with the little green light in the back), but the monitor just says 'self test check your pc' etc. The light on the mouse doesn't come on, the keyboard lights don't come on, the wireless USB connector's light doesn't come on, and it's as if it's not powering anything that's connected to it. I think the fans are going but I'm not 100% sure. We've tried powering it on and off and we're going to double check that the plugs are all plugged in correctly, but otherwise, we don't know what to do. It worked just fine about 12 hours ago. So I don't know what happened.

it is power suplly problem unplug all of power supply cables and then reconnect them!if that doesnot solve your problem change the power supply with greater watts

As regards the answers about a bad PSU they're wrong. A PSU either works or it doesn't.
I would say that you either have a motherboard or hard drive problem.
Anyway it wouldn't be anything you could fix.
You need to put it into a workshop and let them run a bench test on it
to find out exactly what the problem is.
As we can't actually see what it is doing any answer given is pure speculation.

Unplug everything like mouse and recovery drive and keyboard. If it has a USB unplug it then boot it. It'll work fine. Also listen for beeps when you start it. If you hear a beep your motherboard is fine. If you don't hear a beep or lots of beeps your motherboard has a issue

basically be confident you do not plug the capacity furnish to the socket. it gained't burn something else, yet bear in concepts in case you purchase yet another capacity furnish, make confident you employ a stabilazer and/or an UPS. major: do not attempt to exhibit on your pc until eventually the capacity furnish is replaced
