Will Romney file an amended Tax Return?
Romney finally released more of his tax returns (< after both he and is wife said they would not do so >)! His 2011 tax return shows he overpaid his taxes as he did not claim the entire deduction he could have for charitable contributions. ( Interesting it was in the year he was running for office; will that get him points? )
Will he file an amended return with in the next couple of years to correct the (most likely) ERROR and reduce the amount he claimed he owed?

I am surprises he released his 2011 return as he said he would not do so and his wife (Ann) said they will not release anymore and that we have seen all of them we are going to see.
I love the fact he said he only pays what he is supposed to and no more and that if he paid more he would not be worthy of being the President - - BUT - guess what he did.
The question is WHY? Did he make a mistake, was the overpayment intentional to keep his percentage payment up (and file an amendment later)? My guess is he did it to keep his percentage up and he will either file an amended return to claim the overpayment or add the overpayment into his 2012 return.

I see you fail to mention he has always said he would release two years of returns. He had previously released 2010 which had a higher salary about the same percentage of tax and charitable contributions.
For 2011 he paid just under two million in taxes and gave four million in charitable contributions. That is 45% of his earnings for the year.
How can that be? All I hear from you libs is he doesn't pay taxes and only cares about the rich.
Obama paid a similar rate as Romney and was generous with his giving - but pales in comparison.

I doubt he will file an amended or 1040x. Though everyone says he cheats on his taxes, he follows the tax code to the letter. I don't know why every one is in such an uproar over this. It makes no sense at all. It is wierd. I heard Howard Dean wants to have government take over all business in the United States and have the government run them. I heard this from one of his friends.

If you liberals actually paid attention he said he would release his tax records before in the election. I'm still waiting for Obama's mysterious college records which have been locked out. Shady.....

Great point; We will probably never know though as after November he will be forgotten - UNLESS - he goes to work for FOX TV like so many other losers have done!

No, the over payment will be applied to his estimated taxes for 2012. If you understood how this works you would not ask such elementary questions.
