Yeah it is called Amnesia :) I know which game you're referring to; it's where your in a castle and you can't attack monster, you just have to run and hide.
Im 95% sure that is an actually game where you need to pay for it. (Besides the illegal options)

Hmm, aside from Slender, I can't think of anything totally free, and it depends on the person if they consider them truly horror. The best horror games I have ever placed are on the PS2 and are likely difficult to get a hold of, namely the "Fatal Frame" series.
As far as what you can get online for less then 10 bucks that might meet the standards of horror:
Lone Survivor
Anna
Trauma
Amnesia (might be more like 14)
LIMBO (kinda just looks horror-ish)
But, yeah there is not a lot off good Horror/Survival games period, let alone free. Horror/Adventure is more common, but few are considered actually really scary.

I think there's a game called Amnesia? I'd have to ask my g/f to be sure on the name, saw her brother playing it. I just remember the character being in a dungeon or underground facility or something. The environment is interactive and you can grab things (pots, bones, etc) like in Skyrim. I don't know what the point of the game was, but I know there is some monster/zombie/whatever hunting you.....that or it just randomly wanders around and you have to avoid it.

Sorry, that's the only real horror-type game that comes to mind. I don't normally come across those type of games.

They are jumpy, scary, creepy and adventurous.

My only thought for free horror game would also be Slender, there's not allot of free good ones.

If you don't like Slender, maybe try DayZ, it's a zombie game, but not really focused on horror.
