The Republican Party is Conservative, and Ron Paul is a Libertarian. I wish he were the Republican candidate, because I would definitely vote for him over Obama, but because the official Republican candidate is a homophobic religious zealot I guess I have to vote for Obama.

The media didn’t want him because he would have pulled votes from the democrats.

The republicans didn’t want him because polls showed he would have done much better than Romney.

Major financial interest didn’t want him because they didn’t want him to be able to explain why the FED has hurt this country so badly while they continue to profit with the blessings of both parties.

He received more contributions from small individuals and the military than any other candidate

Only a complete fool would say he is an isolationist because he wants America to trade with every country on the planet including Iran & Cuba.

We’ve had the same foreign policy under both democrats and republicans for more than 50 years and he would removed many of the more 800 military bases from other countries while maintaining a strong military defense.

He would force the government to obey there oath to the constitution.

Congress can allocate money for various departments but he would control the heads of those departments and therefore what they could spend.

The only government departments that would have to worry if he became president would those that were not constitutional.

Because he's not a CFR member, and all the American media conglomerates are represented at the CFR, so the media did everything they could to first ignore him, then discredit him, then marginalize him...

I also think some blame has to go to the people that were running Paul's campaign, specifically that snake in the grass Jesse Bennett...

I had many relatives repeat the Fox News propaganda word for word "Ron Paul is a loon".... Then I'd ask them "What is so crazy about him?" Their reply, "he wants to end the Federal Reserve"... Then I'd try to explain to them how the "Fed" actually works, which would never work... So I'd always end with the same parting shot, "Look up your closest Federal Reserve in the phone-book, you wont find it listed with the other government agencies, you will only find it in the section for privately owned businesses".....

They've done everything they can to make "the Ron Paul people" go away, but we NEVER will!

Source(s): We do NOT forgive... We do NOT forget... Expect us...

    He lacked sufficient delegates.

If your asking why people did not chose him over his opponents than we can only speculate. The major media networks were very clear that they did not like him and that hurt him a great deal. He is not a physically attractive man and sadly some of us really are so shallow that we will elect a president on his looks alone. He is not a very compelling speaker. His ideas do not appeal to the majority though whether that is because the majority didn't understand them or because the majority is more intelligent and educated than Doctor Paul...I can only speculate.

He couldn't compete with his opponents in terms of cash either. It must be nice to have a pet billionaire in Vegas who can casually toss you another 10 million when ever you get low. Paul never had friends like that.

Added: Sheldon Adelson, Joe Rickets, I should have said pet billionaires (plural) probably more that haven't made the news yet. Thank you Supreme Court for making buying elections go from immoral and illegal to patriotic.

Ron Paul is endorsed by the John Birch society, a group which allegedly is "white supremacist. Ron Paul wants to repeal the civil rights act. Ron Paul thinks that the president can wave his arms and eliminate entire government programs, especially the ones that protect common citizens like the Department of Education and the EPA. Ron Paul is garnering support because he wants citizens of this country to be stoned legally, and I don't know about you, but we have enough issues with drunks on the highway, I don't want millions of drivers who either are paranoid or don't really give a flying f*** when they're stoned. His idea of smaller government is to wipe out any regulations that have any teeth, and let us take each other out. That's why he didn't win the nomination. It's Libertarian/Racist nonsense and if his supporters would hear anything other than "legalize marihuana" they would know that.

His foreign policy isn't at all Conservative and his domestic policy is too radical. That's why Republicans didn't nominate him and it's why he'd be hopeless against Obama.
