Easy 2 points! Anyone else tired of these kids?
These kids that ask questions about joining the military that can be answered by a simple google search or phone call to a recruiter? ugh

Good morning Hereford,
I hope you are having a great day. NO! I am not tired of kids asking questions. They are kids. I find about half of their questions innocent, cute, laughable, and understanding or apathy. The other half don’t answer. I do get tired of reading some of the answers. Why be mean to their questions? What’s worst to me is giving out false and misleading answers from people who have never served a day in the military yet alone in combat. I call them book/movie “knowledgers”. This is the main reason I answer a few of their questions.
I have a good friend who is a teacher. We were debating if you would rather learn from a computer or a teacher. My answer was a computer. Why? I remember many times in school I could not understand the answer to a simple question. Although simple, I could not get the answer to save my life. I was also too embarrassed to raise my hand for fear other classmates would consider me as being slow, dumb, or worst laugh at me. With a computer I could go over and over the question as much as needed until the answer was clear and made sense.
Would it not be easier to go on Yahoo Answers with a question rather than go to a military recruiter? I truly believe a lot of their questions are not dumb to them. They just don’t have anywhere else to turn to get the right answer or an answer they can relate to.
Let us not forget the military is one complex tool to deal with. I have nephews and nieces. One is four (4) years old. If allowed they would shoot monkeys, apes, robots, and other humans on these computers all day and into the next night. They have no idea where China is or any other country, but they know they are bad (in their minds).
Hereford, I hope you get my point. I will end with my TRUE short story.
As a child of the 50’s, all everyone talked about was communism. It was easy for the American people to be brainwashed about the evils and fighting a war over Communism. Our government installed these evils in us since we were children.
I remember the outbreak of the Korean War. I asked my father what was the war about? He immediately replied, “We are fighting to stop Communism.” I had never seen a person who believed in communism but I knew they were bad people. If I did see one, I knew I would recognize him/her. They were bad red people with one horn on top of their head (smile). This was the reason some people worn hats. Hereford, I guess my question about communism on Yahoo would have thrown you for a loop?
Thanks for your question. You and your family have a beautiful day. Peace, from Los Angeles.

Actually it's the 'will there be a WWIII' or 'Will the USA attack Iran' or 'Will China attack the USA'... or worse 'What if the USA attacked Britain and the Commonwealth'.
USA needs help in Afghanistan, Canada and Britain gladly volunteer to help an ally... next thing you know some Yank wants to take their own allies on while other Yanks talk of how their allies are lightweights [good enough to call upon anytime help is needed though].
I'd rather the kids asking about recruitment in comparison.

Naw...my favorites are the ones who say they're joining the WEASe/Special Forces/MARSIC/PJs as if they can just Elaine in and be immediately accepted. They don't realize the washout rate.
I further live the ones who think that just because they get accepted to an assessment class that they are IN the SEALs/SF/MARSOC/PJs...not realizing that they are going to wash out...then they get all rock-hurt when you try to give them the real facts.

Yeah, but my recruiter won't talk to me for another year since I told him that I have the flu.
Just kidding, yeah I'm in your boat.
