Future Navy SEAL Freshmen in High School Runner/Sprinter and Swimmer

  • Should I take the SAT as a Freshman?

As my Freshman year is about to end, I've already been looking into colleges, and what most admissions counselors and my own guidance counselor advised me to, if I can, take the PSAT/SAT to see where I am, even if I know I won't do as well as juniors/seniors. They say it will help me get a feel for the test. I will be able to get a discount on the fee. What do you guys think?

  • How do I factorize x(a+b)+x(a+c)?

I just need to factorize the problem. I can factorize say 2(a+b)^2+2(a+b) but when the values in the parantheses are different I just freeze up.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Need help to solve a quadratic equation by factorizing?

So an example of what I am talking about would be:

    X^2 - 6X + 9 = 0

    (X-3)^2 = 0

    X =3

But what happens when the "A" in ax^2 is more than 1?

    Such as in:

    3x^2 - 14x - 5 = 0

I'm stumped and I can't find it on the internet!

  • How to get rid of eczema for the military?

Well I really want to be a SEAL, but I have a setback. I'm doing well physically and mentally, but I'm afraid the Navy won't even take me. I have eczema on my inner elbow and behind my knee. It is not noticeable in a long-sleeved uniform and it is almost gone. Will there be any chance of me getting a waiver?

  • Cirrhosis treatment? Please help!?

My mom was recently diagnosed with Cirrhosis today, and since I've already lost my Dad, I don't want to lose my mom so soon as well. I am only 13 and wish for her to see my graduation and life, and I was wondering how she could be saved?

I read alot of answers from Baa Baa, if you read this, please respond, you have been through this and would know.

Shes going to see the doctor for a biopsy soon to find out what caused it. She has never drank, smoked or been obese so I don't know why its being caused. Hepititis C was also never affected her.

  • If I want to enlist in the Navy, should I tell my family?

I'm planning to enlist when I'm 18, I'm 16 now, and my family will 100% discourage me from joining the Navy, and therefore, i plan on telling the day I turn 18. Is this a good idea or not?

  • How to stop spam on Yahoo! Answers?

A ton of Anti-Semitic answerers have been an ongoing problem for the website, and especially the History section where each week is a new wave of people copy and pasting stuff about Jews taking over American's rights. I believe Yahoo! needs to make an effort to remove these spammers, and I'd like to know how I can personally stop one. They are becoming obnoxious with their posts and any answers would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I do more situps or pushups?

I'm planning on joining the Navy as soon as I'm done with High School, but I'm worried. So far, I'm 5'5'' and I weigh ~100 points and can run 1 mile in 9:42 and being extremely tired. They require someone 18 years old to run 1.5 miles in 12 minutes and I'm sure I can do that, even if it will take work. What I'm more worried about is the situps and pushups. I can do 25 situps and then my abdomen will become painful and sore, so I would like to know how to avoid that and keep going. With pushups I do about 10 and my face turns red and Its like my head is full of blood. Any way to avoid this and do more situps and pushups overall?

  • What training and PT requirements do you need to become a U.S Navy Nuke?

I'm planning on joining the Navy in the Nuclear Field to end up on a Carrier, and I've made up my mind. I want to do something for the most powerful naval force in the world, and that is the Navy's Carrier Fleets. I am a good student in school and I wonder, what training do you need, (Boot Camp, 2 years of --School, 5 months of A School, etc) and what are the physical requirements you need to become a U.S Navy Nuke (or ET, MM, or EM)?
