Job Application Issued By Jobcentre?

I signed on on the Thursday like normal and like normal I was issued and had printed off a job that I would need to apply for by the job centre person. Only problem is is while it's still listed on their site, when you go through to do the application form it says the job is no longer available! I'm not sure what to do as if you don't apply for the position you will lose your job seekers benefit, any suggestions? This is a UK question.

Update:

Unfortunately not possible, it's an online application form and won't let you put an application in or go any further other than telling you it's not available.

Can you see the company the job is for? If so contac the local store and ask them about the vacancy by email mentioning the website problem. Hopefully they'll send you one back saying you can't apply any more. Other than that get a print out of the screen (screen print the whole thing including the page with the job on it) and take them to your signing with you.

You tell the job centre that it is no longer available, they can check for themselves. Then straight away ask if there is another job that they know of for which you can apply. Take the initiative and show that you really do want a job.

Apply for it anyway, it shows you're trying.
