The fuel will not go to the engine of my Nissan 1993 pickup.?

The fuel will not go to the engine. The engine will start when adding fuel directley to the carburetor. The pump has been replaced. When I try to start the engine the pump sound only for a short moment, but then stops. The fuse is in good condition as well.

Is there anything that I am missing?

The fact that your pump runs at first means the relay is good and it is getting a start signal from the computer, but the computer needs to see a tach signal from the distributor to maintain fuel pump operation. Check the wiring and connector at the distributor to make sure it's good. Maybe try another distributor if you can find a used one.

Just so you don't get confused by some of the other posts, you don't have a carb. Your engine is fuel injected.

Did you check the fuel filter? The pump only runs for a short time because it is just priming the system. You also could have a bad cam or crank sensor if these sensors go out the fuel is shut off to prevent the engine from starting and causing damage. Another possibility is a bad timing belt, if its slipped a tooth it will act the same way as a bad cam sensor.

Keep throwing parts at it, sooner or later you might just replace the correct part without having an education in automotive repair or an aptitude for anything involving the repair of mechanical or electrical systems, but sure its a plugged fuel filter, why not go out and buy one of those? maybe 2 there cheap. while your at it buy a a few more new fuel pumps, and a couple of carburetors, sooner or later you might find the problem,

Well if your not out of gas The fuel filter could be dirty/clogged and needs replacing. Also check you fuel lines especially any metalic ones to make sure they are not pinched or clogged. Carburetor itself may need to be rebuilt

  • You can lead horse to water but you cant make it drink. is there anything your missing? Uh yes? an education in automotive repair.
